Neighbourhood
There are a number of bus routes in the neighbourhood, as well as two subway stations along Bloor Street W. South of the neighbourhood, drivers will find a ramp onto the Gardiner Expressway. While green space is largely absent from the area, the Humber River offers a beautiful, natural environment to the west, while High Park provides greenery to the east. There’s no shortage of schools or places of worship in Runnymede-Bloor West Village. For shopping, dining, and entertainment, head down to Bloor Street, which is filled with independent boutiques, a range of restaurants, and even a movie theatre. The Toronto Stockyards mall, fast food options, a pharmacy, an LCBO, and several chain stores can be found along Dundas W. Further north – outside the neighbourhood – is a Walmart.

Who lives here: Young families dominate the neighbour-scape in Runnymede-Bloor West Village. Most adults here are married and have younger kids. There is a solid Eastern European community in the area, and families tend to earn more than average, but wouldn’t necessarily be called “affluent.”
