Mount Pleasant West is an amalgamation of neighbourhoods including Davisville and North Toronto. With a skyline boasting highrise apartments, there are plenty of rentals to go around. The neighbourhood is filled with young singles and childless couples occupying the one- and two-bedroom apartments that are standard to the area. Houses, duplexes and family oriented housing is more common in the next-door neighbourhood of Mount Pleasant East.

Neighbourhood

Mount Pleasant Road is dense with boutique ma-and-pa shops with a focus on antique shops, which draws crowds from all over Metro Toronto. If a mall is more your scene, just a few blocks away is the Yonge and Eglinton Centre, where you can hit up a brand name store, catch a movie, or eat fast food to your little heart's content. You’re never more than a 15-minute walk from one of the two subway stations along the west perimeter of the neighbourhood or, if you’re feeling lazy, busses also run along the major routes. If you’re commuting downtown, Yonge Street or Mount Pleasant Street will get you there in 15-30 minutes, depending on traffic. On all sides of the neighbourhood you’ll find highways within 10-20 minutes which will fast track you to any Metro Toronto destination.
