Parents flock to the area for Allenby Public School, which is one of the best-ranked public schools in the city, and the cute boutiques and cafes along Eglinton offer a little something for everyone on a sunny afternoon. Unfortunately for renters, it can be challenging to find a rental in Allenby, although there are some hidden gems in the high-rise apartments on Eglinton if you are dedicated in your hunt for the perfect Toronto apartment.

Rentals in Allenby are very hard to come by. But you can find some Allenby houses for rent in the interior streets, as well as some rental duplexes and apartments, can be found along Avenue Road between Eglinton Ave and Briar Hill Ave.

With little in the way of nightlife and few residents who'd want such a scene in their cul-de-sac in the first place, the Allenby lifestyle is pleasant and low-key, centered around school, sports, and relaxation.

Eglinton in where most of the action is in Allenby, with its cute restaurants, boutique shops and fitness options. The centrally located North Toronto Memorial Community Recreation Centre boasts two pools, a track, a gym, and two skating rinks, which are repurposed as tennis courts in the summertime. Also located within pet-friendly Allenby is Memorial Park, a charming green space which offers easy access to the nine kilometre Kay Gardner Beltline Trail, perfect for urban cyclists, joggers, and hikers. For young learners, Allenby P.S. and North Preparatory are in the area, and Marshall McLuhan Catholic Secondary School is conveniently located on the Avenue bus line.
