Incentives not needed by most landlords as demand outpaces supply<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Promotional deals and move-in incentives for renters are drying up in most Canadian cities as rents continued to rise in the fourth quarter of 2022.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In fact, a quick check revealed no incentives offered for prospective renters in Vancouver, the highest priced city for tenants.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fewer promotions were found in Toronto, Montreal and Calgary, and most were for one or two months free rent, or incentives for students.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The two exceptions were Edmonton and Winnipeg where supply of rentals is ample and rents are relatively low for big cities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
